Istanbul is set to host the world's leading tennis players for the fourth time at the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Istanbul Cup 2008, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

Famous tennis players, such as Elena Dementieva, Nadia Petrova and Agniezska Radwanska will participate in the tournament that will start on Saturday with qualifying matches.

This year's opening ceremony will be held at Istanbul's Dolmabahce Palace.
