Sao Paulo team Ourinhos crushed Fluminense 101-48 in the Brazilian women's basketball league on Sunday.
"We did not start the game very well. In the first half we did not take advantage of all our opportunities. In the second half, we came back more concentrated and determined," said the point guard of Ourinhos, Vanessa Gattei.
"Our defense got better and we took advantage of our fast break opportunities, which is one of the characteristics of our team," she added.
The leading scorer of the team was Iziane on 26 points. For Fluminense, the leading scorers were Tarsila, Claudia and Livia, all with 9 points apiece.
Ourinhos now improve their record to an impressive 11-1 in the league. The team has a 91.7% winning percentage. Fluminense, however, has only accumulated two victories while suffering ten defeats. Source: Xinhua
