EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey: All-Star Vince Carter scored 29 points and Yi Jianlian added 22 Monday as the New Jersey Nets rallied for a 98-90 NBA victory over Sacramento.
Carter capped a 17-5 run with a free throw with 1:39 left in the game that put the Nets ahead 98-86.
He scored six points during the run and eight in the fourth quarter.
Yi, the Nets' 7-foot power forward from China, also collected a season-high 13 rebounds for New Jersey, who did most of their damage without guard Devin Harris.
Harris left the game late in the second quarter after aggravating a strained right hamstring.
He started the game but lacked his usual explosiveness and was unable to return after halftime with the Nets facing a double-digit deficit.
But New Jersey stormed back behind Yi, who scored 15 points in the second half, before Carter keyed the decisive sequence in the final minutes.
Keyon Dooling provided the dagger with a 3-pointer that gave New Jersey a 97-86 bulge with just 99 seconds remaining.
Sacramento's Kevin Martin scored 25 of his 36 points in a blistering first half. But he had little help from the rest of the Kings, who have lost nine of their last 10 games.
Spurs 91, Heat 84
The San Antonio Spurs withstood NBA scoring leader Dwyane Wade's 24-point performance to overcome the Miami Heat 91-84 on Monday.
Tim Duncan paced the Southwest Division leaders with 19 points and nine rebounds, and four other Spurs were in double figures. George Hill came off the bench to score 15 points, Matt Bonner and Roger Mason had 11 each and Manu Ginobili added 10.
Ginobili and Tony Parker both had trouble scoring but Hill stepped in to contribute to the winning effort by connecting on all four field-goal attempts, including three three-pointers.
Wade had 12 assists and four steals to go with his 24 points, while Shawn Marion and Michael Beasley backed him up with 15 points apiece.
Beasley also had 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.
Despite falling behind early, the Heat refused to buckle and Wade had a chance to pull Miami within a point late in the fourth quarter but Ginobili blocked his dunk attempt and Mason scored off a jumper to lift the Spurs to their eighth win in nine games.
The loss brought an end to Miami's five-game home winning streak.
Bucks 107, Raptors 97
At Milwaukee, Michael Redd had a season-high 35 points and Charlie Villanueva scored 13 of his 25 in the fourth quarter to lead Milwaukee to its first win without Andrew Bogut in 21 months.
Milwaukee, which finished the game on a 13-0 run, lost its previous nine games - including four this season - without Bogut, the former No 1 pick who missed his second straight game Monday with back spasms.
The Raptors, playing without center Jermaine O'Neal and guard Jose Calderon on this two-game road trip, turned to Chris Bosh, who had 31 points and 11 rebounds to help Toronto hold the lead through most of three quarters.
Andrea Bargnani had 21 points and Anthony Parker finished with 12 for Toronto.
