Wizards guard Arenas fined for not available to reporters

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas on Tuesday was fined 25,000 U.S. dollars by the National Basketball Association for being not available for media.

The club also was given a 25,000 dollars fine for not complying with league media interview rules.

NBA regulations explicitly state that teams must make players available to the media at given times prior to and after games and also during daytime 'shoot around' practice sessions.
