Jordan ended on Sunday its participation with four points in Group D qualifiers for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Youth Championship, losing the chance of breaking into the top two of Group D.

After losing to Uzbekistan 3-1 and beating Nepal 2-0, Jordan needed to beat Yemen to advance. However, its 0-0 draw meant Uzbekistan and Yemen clinched the two berths from Group D to the 2008 Asian Championship in Saudi Arabia.

Group leader Uzbekistan beat Yemen 1-0 and Yemen took second spot on goal difference after it beat Nepal 3-0. Palestine and Afghanistan, both drawn in Group D, pulled out of the competition.

The best third-placed team from all groups will also qualify.
