Brazilian mid-fielder Kaka, who plays for Italian AC Milan, told media on Sunday that if he could vote Europe's best player he would pick Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for English Manchester United.

Kaka, whose real name is Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, told website Globo Esporte just before beginning a World Cup qualifying game against Peru, that he likes Ronaldo "not only for his skill, but also for his behavior when he wears the Portugal national strip".

The player, who is also in the running for the Golden Ball handed out by France Football magazine, said he would rule out Leonel Messi, an Argentine who plays for Spanish Barcelona, because Barcelona has not won a major title in 2007.

In the same interview Kaka said that he felt no resentment for being left on the bench for several matches by national team manger Dunga, real name Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri, during Bledorn first months in charge.

"Dunga has been correct and coherent. He has given everyone space and I have no problem with having to fight for my space in the starting 11," Kaka, 25, said.

He added that he was confident that he would still be playing in the national team during the 2014 World Cup, adding "it would be marvelous to captain the team in 2014."
