An own goal from Sergey Ostapenkogave Serbia a 1-0 home win over Kazakhstan on Saturday in their final Euro 2008 qualifier rescheduled after heavy snowfall in Belgrade last weekend.

The dead fixture had no bearing on the finals as both sides had lost any chance of qualifying for next year's tournament to be co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland.

Poland and Portugal qualified from the group while the result enabled Serbia to overtake Finland into third place with a better head-to-head record.
