German Bundesliga team Nurnberg beat Dutch AZ Alkmarre 2-1 on Wednesday night to make their UEFA Cup hope alive.

Nurnberg striker Marek Mintal's two goals within 2 minutes during the second half help the host team to book the first win in the UEFA Cup match this season.

In the first half, Alkmarre opened the score in the 28th minute despite pressure from the host team.

In the second half, after wasting several precious chances, Nurnberg seized two opportunities. In the 82nd and 84th minute, Mintal got quick super pass from the right side and scored.

With the victory, Nurnberg boast four points, placing number three in Group A of UEFA Cup, and their hope of entering next round is still alive.

Nurnberg have bad fate in the Bundesliga match this season, and they are still struggling in the relegation zone.
