The soccer club of Sao Paulo is trying to keep a secret in relation to the players they are interested in for next year's campaign.
After signing Joilson and Juninho, the team is alleged to be interested in at least three more players for next year's Libertadores Cup.
The mid fielder, Diego Souza, is no longer a player of interest to the team. According to the team's president, the player is asking too much money to seal a contract.
"Diego Souza is out of the picture because Benfica is offering a high price," claimed the vice-president of the team, Carlos Augusto de Barros e Silva.
"We do not have a profile or position in mind. We are planning on hiring three more players," declared Juvenal Juvencio, attempting to avoid giving out too many details in relation to the players of interest.
One of the speculated players is Fabio Santos, who currently plays for Lyon. The team attempted to make a deal with the player during the middle of 2007, but nothing materialized.
The team is hoping that negotiations will pick up again for 2008's season.
Although no one has been officially signed for next year's Libertadores, the team believes that they are in good shape to fight for Cup.
"This year, some pieces fell apart when we needed them. However, for next year's competitions, we are putting together a great team which fulfills the expectations of the team's directory," addedJ uvencio.
