The Netherlands will play five friendlies as part of their preparations for the UEFA European Championship to be held in Austria and Switzerland next summer, Dutch media reported Thursday.
The Oranje contingent will start their warm-up campaign on Feb. 6 when they take on Croatia in Rijeka. They will then travel to Vienna on March 26 to meet European Championship co-hosts Austria at the Ernst Happel Stadium, where the Championship final will be played on June 29.
The Dutch team will then play three friendlies at home in May and June.
On May 24, it will entertain Ukraine in Rotterdam, and five days later will play host to Denmark at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven.
The final friendly will be on June 1 when the Dutch squad takes on Wales in Rotterdam.
The Netherlands have been drawn against tough opponents Italy, France and Romania in Group C at the European Championships. The top two finishers from the group will qualify for the quarterfinals. Source: Xinhua
