Adriano is the newest player added to Sao Paulo's soccer team, announced on Wednesday the Sao Paulo soccer club on its website.
The player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, negotiated a deal that would lend Adriano to Sao Paulo from Internazionale for six months. Rinaldi claimed that, "It has all been taken care of. I just left a meeting with the managers of Inter, and Adriano will stay in Sao Paulo for six months."
"They were very happy with the cooperation of Adriano. They saw he was fit and wanted him to stay in Brazil for six months. I fly to Brazil on Friday to meet with the administration from Sao Pauloto figure out the last details," said Rinaldi.
The contract is valid until June 30, 2008. The superintendent of the five-time national champion team, Marco Aurelio Cunha, said the acquisition will not be cheap and that Sao Paulo will have its costs.
When asked if Adriano will still receive his salary from Internazionale, the player's agent responded by saying, "I cannot talk about that. It is a secret within the contract. Anything I say would only be speculation." Source: Xinhua
