Croatia skipper Kovac ponders to retire after Euro 2008 |

Croatia skipper Niko Kovac has been pondering the possibility of put his international career into an end after leading his country into the last eight of the European soccer championship finals.
"I am closer to the decision of hanging up my international boots than staying on for another campaign," Kovac was quoted by daily Slobodna Dalmacija on Monday.
The 36-year-old Salzburg defensive midfielder has won 75 caps and scored 12 goals for Croatia.
"I will play for another year at Salzburg for sure and the club has made me an open offer to take up any position I choose when I decide to retire," he said.
The Croatian national soccer team is in Group B with co-host Austria, Germany and Poland for the Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland in June. Source: Xinhua
