Coach Emerson Leao and seven players of Brazilian club Santos arrived Tuesday to Mexico City to complete the team facing Mexican club America at the quarters finals second leg of the South American Libertadores Cup-2008.
Two days after the first soccer players contingent arrived, Santos will began to train before Thursday's match at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, 2,200 meters over the sea.
Leao predicted a tough match against America after the latter winning previous Libertadores match 3-0 over Flamengo in Maracana Staduim.
"America has come alive again with the victory at the Maracana stadium. I think they are very happy and also we are, it will be a beautiful match, interesting were the best will win," said Leao when arrived in Mexico City.
Leao said the team would visit the Azteca stadium, where Brazilwon the World Cup in 1970, for field training on Wednesday.
With Leao arrived substitute goalkeepers Douglas and Felipe, fullback Evaldo and Marcelo, forwards Wesley and Lima and midfielder Adriano. Source:Xinhua
