Chelsea defender John Terry was named Tuesday as England's captain for the friendly against the United States to be played at Wembley on Wednesday.
Manager Fabio Capello made the decision even though Terry missed a penalty in Chelsea's shoot-out defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League final last Wednesday.
Terry had been captain under previous manager Steve McClaren, but Capello is road-testing a range of captains before making his final decision before the World Cup qualifiers begin in September. Source:Xinhua
