Scolari's Chelsea to be tested by Portsmouth first in 2008-09 fixture |

Luiz Felipe Scolari, Chelsea's new manager who is directing Portugal at Euro 2008, will face his first test in the 2008-09 English Premier League season by FA Cup winners Portsmouth.
According to the fixture list released on Monday, Scolari will test himself against United manager Alex Ferguson when last season's Champions League finalists meet at Stamford Bridge on Sept. 20.
Manchester United will begin their title defense at home to Newcastle United.
Third-placed Arsenal are at home to newly promoted West Bromwich Albion on the opening day while Liverpool travel to Sunderland.
The season kicks off on Aug. 16.
