Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the Russian national football team, its coaches and Russian fans on Russia's victory over the Netherlands in the European championships quarterfinal, the Kremlin said on Sunday.
Russia defeated Netherlands at Saturday's quarterfinal match in Basel, Switzerland by three to one, a big win for the Russian team.
Russia is to meet the winner of a quarterfinal between Spain and Italy in the semis on June 26.
