PSV to play Newcastle United, Everton in pre-season friendlies |

The Dutch premier league champions PSV Eindhoven will play English hosts Newcastle United and Everton on Aug. 6 and on Aug. 9 respectively in friendlies ahead of the next season, the Dutch club confirmed on Friday.
PSV also met Newcastle United at St. James' Park during the pre-season 2006-2007 campaign. The Dutch won the match 3-2, having achieved a 3-0 lead in the first half.
On home soil, the defending Dutch champions will play against VVV-Venlo on July 30 to contest the Herman Teeuwen Memorial trophy.
On Aug. 2, PSV will host Sporting Lisbon, who finished second in the Portuguese league last season.
The 2008-2009 Dutch premier league will kick off on Aug. 30.
