Chinese Olympic team head coach Ratomir Dujcovic on Sunday rubbished recent reports about his possible dismissal ahead of the Beijing Games.

"This is not the first time such rumor appeared on the press," the Serb told a news conference after their 4-0 win over Malaysia in a warm-up match for the Olympic Games.

Tension between the coach and his players as well as the Chinese football authorities is widely reported in the country with less than one month to go before the Olympics opens.

He is blamed for giving the juniors too much pressure by putting many of them into the senior team in their already failed World Cup campaign and having them train non-stop in the past few weeks.

Leading Internet portal sohu.com reported Xie Yalong, president of the Chinese Football Association, had asked the State General Administration of Sports, the country's sports ministry, for permission to replace Dujcovic.

China was in a group with Brazil, Belgium and New Zealand in the Olympics.
