Soccer preview: Cameroon hopes to win three points from Honduras

After drawing South Korea 1-1, Cameroon will rely on a best senario of three points from Honduras to boost their hope to qualify for next round in the Olympic men's soccer tournament here on Sunday.

The Indomitable Lions presented a great attacking game against South Korea last Thursday, managing to level the score 1-1 with 10 minutes to go.

Both Cameroon and South Korea are now tied second in Group D, after

title favorite Italy.

Cameroon, South Korea and Italy all have possibilities to top the group in order to avoid Brazil, which virtually ensured their first position in Group C after beating Belgium.

Yet Cameroon must fight without Albert Baning against Honduras, who was sent off in the 90th minute as he challenged South Korea's striker Lee Keun Ho on Thursday.

Honduras, however, is seen as an underdog in the group. Even though they found several chances to breach Italian defense line from the wings in their last game, they hardly threatened the goalkeeper.

The most dangerous shot came from defender Samuel Caballero's long-range shot in the second half, which forced the goalkeeper to make a dive save.

The team seemed to be lacking in unity. Their crossed from the wings often failed to find their own players.

Nonetheless, Honduras still has talented players. The captain Hendry Thomas scored 7 goals in 4 Olympic qualifying games, and Caballero, who played for China's Changchun Yatai, was a key defender that helped the team win the Chinese Super League championships last season.
