Venezuela defeated on Sunday Argentina 3-0 (25-19, 25-16 and 25-16) during the volleyball America Cup and finished third, making its depute on the podium of the tournament.
The match lasted one hour and nine minutes, and it was played at the Aecim Tocantins gym of the city of Cuiaba in Brazil.
On Saturday Venezuela lost against Cuba 3-2.
Luis Diaz was Venezuela greater points maker, with 15 points, 14 of attack and one of blocking while the Argentine greater points maker was Martin Hernandez who made nice attack points.
This has been the best classification of the Venezuelan team during their participation at this tournament.
Coach of the Venezuelan team Miguel Cambero said that his team went to compete in Brazil without three of their best players, but that "the team recovered from the defeat against Cuba. We played today and we knew how to take advantage of Argentina's mistakes."
"We conquered a result of this kind of the first time in America Cup and with this we begin the new work period."
