German football minnow Karlsruher snubbed Wolfsburg 2-1 on Sunday, ending the "Wolves" 12-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga stretching back to last season.
It also extends the home side's 100 percent record in top-flight encounters with Wolfsburg, which now reads: played five, won five.
Massimilian Porcello and Sebastian Freis scored the goals in the 51st and 75th minute respectively from the home side. Ricardo Costa pulled one back for Wolfsburg in the 78th minute.
To round off a day to forget for the visitors, striker Grafite was sent off in the 71st minute for a second bookable offence.
In another match on Sunday, Frankfurt scratched out a point at home to fellow strugglers Arminia Bielefeld.
The 1-1 result was at any rate enough to lift Frankfurt above Moenchengladbach and off the bottom of the table. Bielefeld are now without a win on the road since their 3-1 success at Wolfsburgon the opening day of the 2007-2008 campaign. Source: Xinhua
