Cuba loses 4-1 against Japan in indoor soccer match

Cuba was defeated 4-1 on Monday by Japan and lost the opportunity to enter the second round of the indoor soccer World Cup of Brazil 2008.

Cuba and Japan were at Group A, and the match was played at the Nilson Nelson stadium of Brasilia and it was arbitrated by Libyan Tawfik Al Dawi.

Cuba scored the opener at the minute 15 by Yampier Rodriguez, Japanese Osodo made the equaliser in the 49th minute. Inaba helped Japan to overtake the lead one minute later, Kanayama put it further at 56th minute and Inaba completed the turnover at 58thminute.

After the matches, Brazil led the group with nine points, followed by Japan with six, Russia and Cuba with three and Solomon Islands without points.

Japan and Russia will play on Wednesday to decide the second placer of the group.
