Football's controlling body FIFA on Friday said the Jordanian team had arrived in Ram, a town outside Jerusalem which will host a friendly between Jordan and Palestine on Sunday.

Sunday's international friendly would go ahead as scheduled as the Israel had given green light to the Jordanian team to travel to Palestine, said a FIFA spokesman.

Under an arrangement with FIFA, the Jordanian team was supposed to arrive at the Palestinian territories on Thursday, but had been denied permission by Israeli authorities.

Prince Ali, President of the Jordan Football Association, earlier voiced "disappointment and astonishment over the Israeli authorities' procrastination in issuing the necessary permission for the football team to go to the Palestinian Territories."

The match will be attended by FIFA officials including the organization's President Joseph Blatter.

Jordan signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1994, ending 46 years of war.
