The Uzbekistan Football Federation has announced a busy schedule to prepare the national team for next year's 2010 FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
The Uzbeks, coached by Mirdjalol Kasimov, kick off their training with a camp in Israel between December 18-29 during which they will play three friendlies, according to the official website of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Tuesday.
A camp in Turkey (January 5-18, 2009) is scheduled next. The team will play five friendlies, including one against the Jordan national team on January 8.
The scene then shifts to the UAE where Kasimov's men will camp from January 21 till February 2. Their AFC Asian Cup opening qualifier against the UAE is scheduled during this period on January 28.
The Central Asians then move back to Uzbekistan before taking on Bahrain in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier on February 11. Source:Xinhua
