About 250 female footballers will attend the 12th All Stars Female Football Competition which begins on Tuesday at the National Stadium in Lagos.

James Temidayo, one of the top officials with Nigerian women's soccer governing body, said the participation will hit a record high compared to the past editions.

He said that the aim of the tournament was to prepare the players for the soccer season.
