Boca Juniors forward Rodrigo Palacios lost consciousness and suffered convulsions on Friday after his head crashed into a teammate in training.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital after he jumped to head the ball and crashed against teammate Gaston Sauro after a corner shot. He passed out and suffered convulsions as coach Carlos Ischia halted the training.

Palacios will be the team captain on Sunday in a match against Independiente in the fifth round of the Argentine soccer championship closing tournament.
