Upon his arrival in the northern Brazilian city of Recife, the Brazilian soccer star Kaka received news on Sunday that a team physician of the Real Madrid soccer team was in town to see him.

Real Madrid sent Dr. Juan Carlos Hernandez to perform a routine medical examination and physical on the world famous midfielder before closing their contract. Kaka is expected to make his official statement, announcing his departure from his Italian team Milan to the Spanish club of Real Madrid.

Despite declaring his loyalty and desire to end his career with Milan, Kaka has apparently given in to the financial benefits and the change of scenery that Real Madrid has to offer.

The coaching staff of the Brazilian national team gave Kaka the permission to undergo the medical tests that Real Madrid prescribed.

The 27-year old is expected to sign a contract that will send him to Spain in the beginning of 2010. His five-year contract is expected to be worth more than 65 million euros.

Kaka is expected to make an official announcement regarding his professional career on June 8 from Recife.
