Promoted Italian Serie A side Bari announced Saturday that Gian Piero Ventura will take charge of the team as the new coach on a one-year contract.
Their previous coach Antonio Conte, who had coached former Serie A champions Juventus, surprisingly departed on Tuesday after falling out with club bosses just weeks after winning promotion and agreeing a new deal.
Ventura, currently in charge of Serie B's Pisa, was thus handed the one-year contract with the option of a further season, Bari said in a statement. Source:Xinhua
