Italian striker Luca Toni ended the gossips about transfer and he has vowed to remain at Bayern Munich.
"I stay faithful to FC Bayern Munich," Luca Toni told German newspaper "Bild-Zeitung".
As Bayern have already signed in strikers Ivica Olic from Hamburg and Mario Gomez from Stuttgart, the competition among the attacking line of the German powerhouse would be fierce next season. Local media have reported that Luca Toni thought about a possible return to Italian Seria A.
However, Toni cleared the cloud by saying that he feels "happy to remain at Bayern".
"Bayern has everything I could wish. An extraodinary good prospect to win next Bundesliga season, so as a real chance to win the Champions League," he said.
"I does not worry about entering into competition with Gomez and Klose. The lineup is done exclusivly by the trainer himself," he said.
Toni was the top scorer at Bundesliga with 24 goals during the 2007-2008 season, but last season he battled an achilles tendon injury for a long time, but he still finished as Bayern's leading scorer in league play, tallying 14 goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances.
"I think FC Bayern knows what I'm able to achieve. I will train even harder to deliver a faultless performance," Toni said. Source: Xinhua
