Bottom-placed Botafogo scraped to a 1-1 draw with Brazilian Championship leaders Atletico-MG on Sunday.
Hosting Atletico-MG's Carlos Alberto crossed the ball to Eder Luis who then headed it into the net to the crowds delight in the 14th minute.
Eight minutes later Botafogo responded as Juninho took a free kick from just outside of the penalty box. Having barely missed a free kick just minutes before, the marksman blasted the ball past the Atletico-MG defensive barrier and into the net, tying the game and silencing the crowd for the remainder of the match.
The draw led Atletico-MG to drop to the second place and allowed Internacional to grab the lead with 20 points from nine games after Internacional beat Nautico 2-0.
