Botafogo edges out Nautico 1-0 in Brazil soccer

In the 33rd round of the Brazilian soccer championship, Botafogo defeated Nautico 1-0 on Wednesday to lift them out of relegation danger while Nautico's situation got worse.

The lone goal under the rain of Rio de Janeiro came in the 72ndminute from a penalty kick after the hard Nautico foul on Deigo. Juninho stepped in to send the ball into the back of the net.

Botafogo's win takes them to 35 points and 16th place. However, depending on the results of the rest of the round, the team may find themselves in danger yet again. For Nautico, the club remains in 18th place with 32 points.
