Dunga, the head coach of the Brazilian national soccer team, extended an invitation to Crison Friday to play in the team's up coming friendly matches against England and Oman. Cris will replace the injured fullback, Juan.

Juan was unable to make the trip to Qatar due to his Italian team's (Roma) reluctance to allow the player to travel due to an injury.

Additionally, Naldo came up lame after Thursday's national team practice, causing Dunga to make an emergency invitation.

Cris, a current member of Lyon and former star of Corinthians and Cruzeiro in Brazil, is the second emergency invitation this week. The first came when Thiago Silva, of Milan, was called in to take the place of an injured Luisao, of Benfica.

Cris is expected to arrive at the team's hotel in Doha later in the day in preparation for Saturday's friendly against England. He will stay with the team for their last match of the year against Oman on November 18.
