China's teenage sensation Liu Shiwen upset former world champion Guo Yue in six sets here on Sunday to claim the women's singles title of the 330,000 U.S. dollars table tennis China Open.

The 18-year-old Liu won Sunday's final 11-9, 11-9, 14-12, 12-14, 11-8, 11-7.

Just two weeks ago, Liu, who brought home a bronze medal from last May's world championships in Yokohama, Japan, lost to Guo in straight sets to miss her chance of being crowned at the Asian Cup in Hangzhou, East China.
