World No. 4 Chen Jin from Jiangsu clinched men's singles badminton bronze medal at the 11th Chinese National Games on Sunday.
Chen, who won the Beijing Olympic bronze medal after overcoming Lee Hyun-II of South Korea, piped Hu Yun from Hong Kong 21-16, 21-17.
Chen, 23, lost his semifinal to Lin Dan 16-21, 21-15 and 7-21, which was a replay of the semifinal at last National Games.
While Hu, a dark horse, conceded to Bao Chunlai from Hunan in the semi 14-21, 6-21 to enter the bronze medal match.
