Super Dan makes history by defending men's singles badminton title at National Games

"Super Dan", as Chinese top shuttler Lin Dan was nicknamed, made history by defending the men's singles badminton title at the 11th Chinese National Games in Qingdao on Sunday.

The 26-year-old, who represents People's Liberation Army, crushed Bao Chunlai from Hunan 21-11, 21-3 in a 35-minute match.

This was a replay of the final of last National Games four years ago as Lin pipped Bao 15-10, 15-2.

Thus Lin became the first player to defend men's singles badminton title in the National Games history.
