Malaysian cyclist Josiah believes his team can make a breakthrouh to win their first Olympic cycling medal at Beijing Olympic Games.

"I am not a favorite, but I have not had this form for a few years. I have done my best since I came here to have my training. The track here with long straights, which suits us a lot," said Josiah after training in Lao Shan velodrome on Tuesday.

After finishing fifth in the keirin in Athens four years ago, Josiah was celebrated as Malaysia's Olympian of the year.

"France is the huge favorite for the team sprint but we can at least make the top eight, and hopely would win something back," added Josiah, who just won the Keirin event in the Erfurt cup last month in Germany.

Under the guidance of Australian coach John Beasley, the Malaysia team has made some progress during the past one and a half years.

"I have beaten a few Germans and Australians recently," Josiah smiled.

Josiah will compete in the team sprint on Aug. 15 and in the keirin on Aug. 16.
