Notice on Foreign Journalists Reporting on the 17th CPC National Congress |

The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will be held in Beijing in October. The Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the Information Department) is currently accepting applications from foreign journalists to report on the 17th Congress. The registration deadline is October 9. Specific requirements are as follows:
1. Foreign correspondents in China and their Chinese assistants can file an application and provide relevant information on the Foreign Press Center website (http://ipc.fmprc.gov.cn); and then confirm their registration with the Information Department in writing.
2. Provisional correspondents visiting China can file an application with the Information Department through the Chinese embassy or consulate in their countries and information divisions in Hong Kong and Macao; and provide a written confirmation letter issued by their respective news agencies.
3. Further information such as meeting agendas, registration, and document delivery procedures will follow later.
