People's Daily, the flagship newspaper of the Communist Party of China, published Tuesday messages from Chinese Netizens who have showed support to the Beijing Olympics after the Olympic flame is back on the Chinese mainland.
The messages are as follows;
"Liu Wei": The Olympic flame has finally returned home. I have been looking forward to it and the moment the flame is lit at the Olympic arena. During the international leg of the torch relay, the western anti-China forces brutally interfered in China's internal affairs, extended support to "Tibet independence" and tired to politicize the Olympic Games. Their actions have humiliated the Chinese nation and offended the respect of the Chinese people. If this is tolerable, is there anything else intolerable? The Chinese people around the world and those who love peace are indignant. At home, we must do something to prevent such things from happening.
"Mt. Erlang": Today I witnessed the Olympic flame and was very touched. I felt moved for every one there. We all love our motherland and hope it to be strong. Except for feeling moved, what can people in China do? The recent spreading of anti-CNN and anti-"Tibet Independence" messages on communication tools is spectacular. We just want to show our anger towards anti-China forces. We boycott some irresponsible foreign politicians and media just to inform them the Chinese people cannot be humiliated and bullied.
"Yesterday, tomorrow, today": Now that the flame is being passed in China, all of us should pay close attention to the torch relay, and participate in the relay if possible. If you cannot go there, you ought to do your job well. Some westerners are always biased towards China. They don't want to see the development of China, and therefore always find excuses to attack China. So it is not surprising for us to see the disruptions of the torch relay. The flame will be in Shenzhen on May 8. Let us call up some friends to cheer for the flame.
"Bastard": Finally the torch returned home. You have suffered humiliation outside. Now we will take good care of you at home. Maybe foreigners cannot understand the situation in China; they cannot understand our feelings towards Tibet and Taiwan. They feel inconceivable when we unite. Now the flame is in China, we must show to the world our country's strength and stability. We will take good care of the torch and defend the national interests.
"Qianxun": Some people in western countries have turned blind eyes to the human civilization and cast the Olympic spirit and human belief behind their backs. It is better to say they are against human culture than boycotting Beijing Olympics. I can hardly believe things like disruption of the torch relay could happen. The small group of unwise people or disrupters who attempted to distinguish the flame just tried in vain. We are joyous seeing the Olympic flame coming back home and are welcoming it with our warm hearts.
