The exposure rate of the Reporters sans frontiers (RSF) was soaring in the recent Beijing Olympic torch relay around the world.

At the Olympic flame gathering ceremony in Ancient Olympia on March 24, three men suddenly forced through the security line and ran onto the arena. One of them held up a banner showing the five Olympic rings as handcuffs. Almost at the same time, another man rose from VIP seats and hoisted a black flag. The three men who disrupted the ceremony are members of the Reporters sans frontiers (RSF), and the one seating at VIP balcony is Robert Ménard, the Secretary General of RSF.

After this ugly scene appeared, the RSF had followed the sacred Olympic flame all the way from Athens, London to Paris and was madly engaged in disruptive activities. On April 7, the Olympics torch, the symbol of friendship and peace, began its relay in Paris. Due to disruption by Tibetan Independence activists and RSF, the torch relay met with a seriously encroachment, which caught attention of the international community. It is reported that the members of the RSF even climbed to the Eiffel Tower to hang a banner showing Olympic rings as handcuffs. On April 26, in Nagoya, Japan, RSF members, mingled in the Japanese nationalists, threw objects at torchbearers.

Why does the RSF, a French non-government organization which claims to defend reporters and press freedom, interrupted the torch relay so aggressively? Is it really a representative organization of media? Or does it really pursue press freedom? What are the relationships between their moves and press freedom? They are boycotting the Olympic Games, or acting as political accomplice to anti-China forces? We cannot help re-examine or re-assess the true features of this organization.

Judging from the conduct of RSF members during the torch relay, the RSF shows an extraordinary interest in undermining the summer Olympic Games to be held in China. This is definitely a well-organized disruption. A story published on French newspaper Le Figaro on April 21 told the truth: RSF had been in firm opposition to the Olympics to be held by the Chinese people ever since 2001. Colluding with ultra-right forces in the United States., it imposed pressure upon companies in the U.S., Germany and Switzerland in an attempt to disrupt the Beijing Olympic Games. What is more, it even accumulated wealth by disrupting the Beijing Olympics. "RSF is a grocery obsessed by the pursuit of money," French journalist Vivas Maxime noted in his book to reveal the secrets of RSF.

The information given by Maxime Vivas has unmasked the ugly features of RSF. From the above-mentioned information, we can draw a conclusion that RSF cannot be called a representative of the media at all, as it has lost the professional ethics and even tried to make money under the disguise of a media organization. Reporter's protection and press freedom are essential, but it can never be achieved by such a pseudo, hypocritical organization..

RSF is indeed a political accomplice with hatred to the Beijing Olympic Games, because it colludes with pro-"Tibet Independence" activists, and tries to politicizing the Olympic Games.

In fact, it is not hard to understand. As an organization that has drawn funds from anti- China organizations, isn't it natural for RSF to work for that organizations? But, once the truth is known to the entire world, can such an organization survive long? The answer goes with saying.
