"I have been to many countries and believe me China Today is enjoying the greatest freedom even the develop nations envy." One PD Online reader left his/her opinion on the message board.

This reader asserted that the people who worship and support the Dalai Lama to gain independence for Tibet intended to change Tibet back into a "slave society" and be their resources base. "China should China should stand firm and strong," the reader encouraged.

Many more other readers left messages in support of China; and encouraged China to continue defending her territory and developing economically by maintaining its status and policies.

Human rights should not be a doubled standard. "The Bush administration has NO right to lecture anyone about human rights since it seems to sanction the use of torture!" One reader named Harry Sauberman said.

Readers believe that China has achieved great success on improving human rights conditions and poverty relief. And they are convinced that China will host a successful Beijing Olympics!

The messages are as follows:

"China is the most populated country in the world; it deserves to hold the games. …We are not Chinese but we respect China for holding the games in Peking. I am fully committed to their taking the torch through Tibet, as this is part of the games."

"I am an American and cannot stand cnn news. It is very biased. It is wrong to label people with names just because you do not agree. China is a great nation on the rise and worth visiting. "

"What is the stand of the so call HUMAN RIGHT groups? Only champion for the West and suppress the weak. You mentioned "international community". Is it not one should respect one another. China has never wage any war with any one in this world. China is trying to protect her own territory. That is so simple."

"I have been to many countries and believe me China Today is enjoying the greatest freedom even the develop nations envy. As long you don't go around incite trouble and cause social disturbances you are free to do anything and realize your dream. China Dream is easier to realize than the American Dream. Do you think the west care about Tibet? Yes, an Independent Tibet to exploit its resources and bride the Dalai Lama. Then it's back to the pre 1950s. China should stand firm and strong."

"Hello, I'm Serbian. We Serbs support China and I wanted to tell you how angry I am when I see these manipulations and pressure from the Western media and their politicians in connection to the situation in Tibet.
Please continue defending China, please continue developing economically, and please stick to your policies, since you are the only hope of the free world against these bastards with bloody hands from the West."

"I do not understand why the USA government would offer any support for the Dalai considering that he is such a reactionary who would like to restore feudalism to Tibet! China should continue its correct and humanitarian policy towards advancing the people of Tibet by its economic stimulus programs! If the USA is so concerned about "human rights"...I would like to see Bush stop the bombing and illegal occupation of Iraq. The Bush administration has NO right to lecture anyone about human rights since it seems to sanction the use of torture!"

"NO government in the world has done for its people what the Chinese government has accomplished in China in the past 30 years by lifting 400,000,000 people out of poverty!! This is a humanitarian..."human rights" government!! Congratulations to China!!"

"In this period of time the people of the world especially in the 2nd and 3rd world can see for themselves what is behind all the actions of these political leaders in the west with their double standards and superiority complex. To this bunch of people don't mess around with China and create trouble for the Tibetans.
Live and let live. Your Paris is a disgrace because you cannot even protect a poor handicap girl on a wheelchair carrying the sacred Olympic Torch."
