China will become world's innovation center

However, Zhang Yaqin is confident that China will become the innovation center of the world. His judgment is based on the following four reasons:

Firstly, the rapid economic development and the national policy through science and education since China's reform and opening up in 1978 laid a solid material foundation for innovation and for the pool of knowledge and talent.

Secondly, China's huge population base can result in huge user demand.

Thirdly, in the transitional period from labor-intensive market to technology-intensive market, China urgently needs to adjust the industrial structure, which will spawn an innovation-intensive need.

Fourthly, China has attached increasing importance to the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Jim Sherriff, chairman and CEO of Cisco China, believes China will become the innovation center for technology and business mode.

Experts analyze that the financial crisis has accelerated the changes in the pattern of global economy and the focus is shifting from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. In fact, China's strategy has become an important topic among the board of directors of the world's Fortune 500 companies.
