The weather satellite Fengyun-3 (FY-3) sent back the first image of quake-hit areas in Southwest China's Sichuan Province at 11 a.m. on June 3, 2008; and its imaging has reached the international advanced level, according to Xi'an Satellite Control Center of China.
On May 15, the satellite FY-3 completed its initial survey mission while in orbit; and shifted to its on-orbit managing phase. The FY-3 sent back its first satellite visible imagery at 10 a.m. on May 29.
