Navies form Uruguay and Venezuela will set out to Antarctica for a joint scientific expedition in February, Uruguay's Observer newspaper said Tuesday.
Researchers of the two countries will take a Uruguayan warship to the Antarctica, where they will conduct researches at a Uruguayan station, the paper said.
The expedition, sponsored by Venezuela, is the first ever research efforts by the country at the Antarctica. Venezuelan experts on maritime technology, oceanography, zoology, seismology, engineering, environment and petroleum technology will join the expedition. Source:Xinhua
