Senior Chinese official stresses importance of meeting cultural needs of public |

A senior Chinese official has called for more efforts to develop public cultural services to better satisfy people with different needs.
Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection tour to northeast China's Liaoning Province from April 30 to May 6.
He said government should play a leading role in offering public cultural services and public funds be the major source of finance.
