2 Nepali party cadres gunned down by unidentified group |

Two local leaders of two respective political parties were gunned down by an unknown group in southern Nepal on Monday evening, local leading media group's website eKantipur reported Tuesday. The group shot dead Bechaye Yadav, former Nepali Congress- Democratic regional chairman of Nawalparasi's Constituency Three, and Gobari Yadav, Nepali Congress deputy chairman of Bhujahawa village, in Nawalparasi district, some 160 km southwest of Kathmandu. According to witnesses, a group of four persons on two motorcycles killed the two persons at around 18:45 (1300 GMT) on Monday. Police believe that "criminal gangs" are responsible for the homicide.
