A total of 117 students fell down with suspected food poisoning in northern Malaysia on Monday.
These students, including 60 in the Kedah State and 57 in the Kelantan State, were believed to have consumed milk under the government's milk aid program, national news agency Bernama reported.
The 60 students in Kupang, Kedah, vomited and complained of stomachache after drinking the milk and they had been sent to nearby hospitals for treatment.
This is the second time in a week that students in the Baling district have been affected by food poisoning.
On Thursday, 80 students in the district complained of stomachache after eating roti canai, an Indian-style roasted pancake.
In Kelantan, 57 students in Kota Baharu complained of stomachache after consuming similarly supplied milk.
Last week 60 students in Jeli also complained of stomachache after consuming food at their school's canteen.
Suspected food poisoning has happened frequently in Malaysia over the past months, most in schools, but no death was reported in such cases.
In June this year, a total of 96 pupils in two primary schools in East Malaysia's state of Sarawak were suspected of suffering from food poisoning.
In April this year, more than 190 students at a school in Kedah were rushed to hospital within a few days and treated for suspected food poisoning.
The Education Ministry in late June this year formed special task forces at various levels nationwide to monitor the health conditions in all schools in the country.
