At least 11 persons have died of an unknown disease in Rajpur village of Dang district in mid- western Nepal, a leading website, thehimalayantimes.com reported on Monday.
A staffer at the district public health office Keshav Raj Pandit said a team of health workers was dispatched to the affected area on Sunday.
BK Bahadur Nepali, a local, said that the mystery disease has rendered over 40 persons ill. The affected area lies close to the Nepal-India border, some 300 km west of Kathmandu. Some of the ailing persons are being treated at Ghorahi and Nepalgunj and in Lucknow, India, the report said.
