The grand opening of the India Tourist Bureau in Beijing was held in Beijing on April 7; and was co-hosted by India's Tourism Culture ministry and the Indian Embassy in China. The theme of the ceremony was:"Incredible India."

Shao Weiqi, head of China's National Tourism Administration, announced that the establishment of tourism offices in each other's countries is not only at the consensus of the Chinese and Indian Governments; but is also significant to the year of friendship between India and China.

Tourism has become the window of cultural and traditional communication between India and China. It could improve the friendship between both countries and play a crucial role in deepening neighborly friendship between the two countries.
