China's second list of intangible cultural heritage items, approved by the State Council, will be made known quite soon, said Zhou Heping, China's Minister of Culture, on June 11.
The typical wooden-block printing technique, Chinese chess, Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, tea ceremony, and traditional medicine from ethnic groups will be on the 510-item list, according to the ministry. Moreover, 147 extension items, to be added to the first list of state-level intangible cultural heritage items, will also be published.
