Britney Spears is set to quit Hollywood to be closer to her children.

The troubled singer is selling her Hollywood Hills home and moving to an exclusive community in Calabasas , Los Angeles County, just a short distance away from ex-husband Kevin Federline and their sons, Sean Preston, two and Jayden James, one.

Britney, 26, has been looking at one particular luxury property in the area called "House of Dreams." The gated community is also home to Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.

The house will be the latest of Britney's assets to be sold on her behalf by her father, Jamie - the legal guardian of her affairs.

In March, Jamie was granted permission to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of her seven cars. Jamie has been in control of his daughter's fortune since she was released from a psychiatric ward in February.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed Jamie collects a reported 1,250 a week to care for his daughter. His main duties include cooking, shopping and talking to Britney.

In a letter to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Jamie wrote: "From February 1 through March 3 2008 I was with Britney on a near 24-hour basis to ensure her safety and well-being.

Throughout the time period, I ran errands, including buying groceries and cooking supper on a regular basis. I spent a good deal of every evening conversing with Britney." Jamie Spears remains Britney's legal guardian until a July 31 hearing.
